About the Film
Emmy and Peabody Award-winning director Eugene Jarecki takes a musical road trip across the country in Elvis Presley’s ’63 Rolls-Royce while contemplating the parallel rise and fall of the American empire and of the King of Rock and Roll. Along for the journey are a variety of personalities—including Alec Baldwin, Ethan Hawke, Rosanne Cash, Emmylou Harris, Mike Myers, and Dan Rather—who share their unique perspectives on Elvis and the U.S. in this thought-provoking film essay.
