About the Film

In 1930s Paris, Henri “Papillon” Charrière (Charlie Hunnam), a roguish safecracker, is framed for murder and sent to Devil’s Island, a notorious penal colony in French Guiana. To survive, he forms an unlikely partnership with fellow inmate Louis Dega (Rami Malek, Mr. Robot), a crafty counterfeiter.
