About the Film
What is the value of art, and who determines it? With work by contemporary artists regularly selling at auction for millions of dollars, has the art world become just another marketplace for investment and speculation? And what does it mean for society’s access to culture when the world’s most noteworthy works of art become part of private collections? The Price of Everything takes an unprecedented look at the complex intersection of contemporary art and commerce, offering privileged access to private collectors, art star studios, and top auction houses and dealers.
