About the Film
If revisiting junior high is the last thing you’d ever want to do, Bo Burnham’s breakout comedy debut will change your mind. Introvert Kayla only becomes outgoing and confident when she’s recording YouTube videos. In the final weeks of her pre-high school life, can she blossom into a popular girl in real life? Burnham crafts a character whose every instinct rings achingly authentic and reminds us all of a time when we were entirely too hard on ourselves.
