Still LifeAbout the Film
John May (Eddie Marsan, HAPPY-GO-LUCKY) is a council worker tasked with finding the next of kin of those who have died alone. His process is meticulous and organized to the point of obsession. A solitary man, John takes great satisfaction in caring for his “clients”, often going beyond the call of duty to write personal eulogies and plan dignified funerals for those whose families cannot be found. When his department is downsized, he takes on one last case that leads him on a poignant and liberating journey.
